Steps To Download the IGNOU ID Card with Enrollment Number
Follow these simple step-by-step processes to download your IGNOU ID card with enrollment number:
- Visit the official IGNOU ID card portal. (Link)
- Fill up the enrollment form and password (created during the admission process).
- After logging in, go to the “Services” or “Student” section from the menu.
- Click on the “ID Card” option.
- Click on Download or Print to save your ID card as a PDF.
- Open the PDF, and you will see it’s password-protected.
- Fill out your password with your date of birth in DDMMYY format. (example: if the DOB is 6th August 2001, the password will be 06082001)
Steps To Download the IGNOU ID Card without Enrollment Number
In order to download the IGNOU ID card, you should have your enrollment number with you. But if you don’t have the enrollment number, you need to recover it first. Here are the steps to recover your enrollment number and download the IGNOU ID Card:
Step 1: Retrieve Your Enrolment Number
Before downloading your ID card, you need to recover your enrolment number.
- Go to the IGNOU Admission Status Page: IGNOU Admission Status
- Enter the personal & IGNOU program details:
- Program Applied For (e.g., BA, MA, BCom)
- Name (as used during admission)
- Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Regional Centre (selected during admission)
Click on “Submit” to see your Enrolment Number, along with your program and admission status, on the screen.
Step 2: Visit the IGNOU Samarth Portal
Now that you have your enrolment number:
- Go to the official login page: https://ignou.samarth.edu.in
- Log in using Enrolment Number and Password (set during admission)
If you forgot the password, click on “Forgot Password” and reset it via your registered email ID.
Step 3: Download Your IGNOU ID Card
- Visit the official IGNOU ID card portal. (Link)
- Fill up the enrollment form and password (created during the admission process).
