67 candidates have obtained full marks in the 2024 NEET examinations. But NEET topper 2024 is Devesh Joshi, AIR 1 from General-EWS category. The candidate has scored 720/720 with a 99.99% total percentile, comprising Physics, Chemistry, and biology (botany+zoology) subjects.
This year witnessed the largest number of NEET toppers compared to previous years. The NEET 2024 UG results trends follow the highest cut-off compared to previous years and the highest number (67) of NEET UG Toppers 2024 as well.
From these 67 candidates, there were 13 female toppers who secured AIR 1. Prachita from Rajasthan is the topper, followed by Shailaja S and Isha Kothari from Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh, 2024, NEET UG witnesses the highest number of qualifying candidates with a total number of 1,65,047 students. This data is followed by Maharashtra (1,42,665) and Rajasthan (1,21,240).

What after the NEET 2024 Examinations?
Since NEET 2024 results are out, colleges will soon be accepting admissions. This year marked the largest number of toppers, making MBBS as one of the most opted courses.
After the NEET 2024 examinations, several key steps take place:-
- Firstly, the results are announced, and the final answer key is released, allowing candidates to assess their performance accurately.
- A merit list is prepared following the results, which is crucial for the subsequent counseling process.
- This counseling is conducted at the national level for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats and at the state level for 85% of state quota seats.
- Several rounds are conducted, during which candidates register, fill in their preferences for colleges and courses, and then participate in the seat allocation process.
- For the AIQ seats, the counseling is managed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), while state authorities handle the state quota seats.
- Each counselling phase ends with seat allotment, after which candidates must report to their allocated colleges to complete the admission process.
