About the University of Kerala CDOE
Earlier, this University was known as the University of Travancore, and later it became the University of Kerala. The University of Kerala was established in 1937 by the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, who was also the first Chancellor of this University. The University of Kerala was the sixteenth university to be set up in India, and ten colleges in the state of Travancore. Earlier, it was affiliated with the University of Madras, and later became an affiliated college of the University of Travancore.
